WELCOME TO PAINT DIAMONDS WITH ME!
Painting gemstones is fun, relaxing, and surprisingly easy once you've mastered a few basic principles and tricks. Moreover, the end result is absolutely stunning! When you share the results of the painting exercises in this book with your family and friends, you'll undoubtedly receive delighted and inquisitive comments: "How on earth did you manage to create gemstones that look so authentic?"
As people gaze at my painted works, I almost always get two questions: "How do you decide which colors go where?" and "How do you draw the facets/color areas/lines of a diamond?" In this book, I explain step by step both the drawing of gemstone facets and the tricks of painting, teaching you how to create astonishingly authentic diamond portraits. The focus of the course is on brilliant-cut round gemstones, but after creating a few, you can easily transition to other cutting styles.
The e-book covers all these topics:
What is a gemstone?
Examples of different gemstones

Other gemstone cuts/shapes
How to draw a brilliant cut diamond
step by step
Painting a brilliant cut diamond

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT SUPPLIES DO I NEED?
You will need a round canvas, acrylic paints, brushes, as well as a pencil, eraser, and ruler. In the book, I paint on a 30 cm round canvas, but you can also paint your initial practice works on sturdy paper or canvas board. At the beginning of the book, I thoroughly go through all the necessary tools and materials.
IS THIS EBOOK FOR BEGINNERS?
The exercises in the book are intended for someone who has already familiarized themselves a bit with acrylic painting, but you don't definitely need to be a professional or even an advanced hobbyist! If painting is not familiar to you, I recommend trying a bit of acrylic painting before doing the exercises in the book and reviewing color theory if it has been forgotten since your school art classes.
CAN I DO THE BOOK'S EXERCISES WITH MEDIUMS OTHER THAN ACRYLIC PAINTS?
Yes, you can! You can use watercolors, colored pencils, oil paints, or pastels, depending on your preference. Choose the medium that is easiest and most familiar for you to work with.
WHAT SHAPES OF DIAMONDS DOES THE BOOK COVER?
In this book, we go through the painting of a brilliant-cut, which is a round diamond. The brilliant cut is the most common diamond cut. After making a few practice paintings, it will be easy for you to try painting other shapes such as ovals or square princess-cut diamonds.
